Fan Cover of Fairytale by Kalafina

kalafina
Back in January, I did a piano cover of Fairytale, the kalafina theme song for the sixth Kara no Kyoukai movie. A month ago I received a message on my Youtube Channel from xFukairix telling me she had made a cover of Fairytale using my piano cover. I felt very honored that someone would use one of my piano covers to do a cover of their own, especially one this good! So thank you very much xFukairix for the lovely cover version of Fairytale, and if someone ever wants to use one my piano tracks to record a song, you're welcome! All I ask in return is that you mention my blog in the video description...

Download the mp3 version of my Fairytale piano cover here.

9/10 I really enjoyed listening to xFukairix's version of Fairytale! Her voice is really amazing and pure. It's a really hard song to master, but she managed to do a pretty good job. Her pronunciation is perfect, and despite some places where her voice is a little out of tune, her singing sounds very professional. I can't wait to hear more anime song covers from her.

In the meantime check out her version of Fairytale:

Anyway, I hope you all like it!!

Oh by the way, I just noticed this is my 20th video! I'm amazed at myself, I didn't think I'd have the courage to do as many...

My Piano Cover of the Xam'd Insert Song

Ryvius' ongoroMy latest piano cover is the song I heard in the anime Xam'd: Lost Memories. I wrote a post two days ago about this awesome song here. I still haven't found any news on the Xam'd OST by Michiru Oshima by the way (sigh...). I hope you like my version of this wonderful and sad song... I'm quite proud of it, because it took me just over 1 hour to master it completely. My version is actually longer than the original one, so check it out here...

You can download the mp3 of my version here.

My Last Piano Covers in High Quality!

ryvius pianoI just noticed that my last 2 piano videos could also be seen in high quality and with much better sound by adding "&fmt=18" to the url. Stupid Youtube didn't automatically put the "Watch in high quality" option under my videos. I don't understand why! Some videos have it automatically, without having to hack the url... It must have to do with the format of the videos I uploaded I gues...

So here are my last 2 piano covers, this time with much better sound, check them out:
Tomorrow by Marina Ismail - Gundam 00 S2 Insert Song (download mp3 here)

And by the way the audio quality sounds a lot better on the mp3 than on the youtube video (I did some audio remixing this time...).

You can download my mp3 version of Tree song here (HQ this time!)

My Piano Version of Hajimari no Hito

Ryvius and his bunnyA few days ago, I told you that I was asked to do a cover of the Bartender ED, Hajimari no Hito (thanks again Mitayashi, it was a really nice challenge, and I loved playing the song). So here it is! Tell me how you feel about my version of the song. Apparently my little nabaztag bunny really liked it, because while I was recording the video, he kept dancing all over the place (well his ears at least...)!

My Piano Cover of Fairytale by Kalafina

Ryvius and his nabaztagFor my new piano cover, I wanted to stay in the Yuki Kajiura theme of this month, so I did a cover of the latest kalafina single, Fairytale. Fairytale is the theme song for the sixth Kara no Kyoukai movie, and of course it is composed by Yuki Kajiura. When I did the review for this wonderful song, I promised you I would be doing a piano cover, so here it is. I hope you enjoy it. Tell me your thoughts on it in the comments. By the way, this time I recorded the audio and video in a much better quality, so I hope you can enjoy it more. You can download the high quality mp3 of my cover here.

My Ballad Version of Long Kiss Goodbye - Naruto Shippuuden ED07

Ryvius and his bunnyRemember my piano cover of Long Kiss Goodbye? Well I did a new one for Long Kiss Goodbye, the Naruto Shippuuden ED07 by HALCALI, but this time a ballad version. I've already done ballad versions for some other songs, and I'm really starting to like doing it, especially for upbeat songs. If you like my version you can download the mp3 file here.

My piano cover of Long Kiss Goodbye - Naruto Shippuuden ED07

Ryvius' bunny and his pianoMy last piano video was 10 days ago, so I can't wait to post a new one! This time around, I thought it could be nice to cover some really popular anime song, like a Naruto theme song for example... I saw so many fan works piano videos for the new Naruto OP (Closer by Joe Inoue) on Youtube (some were really amazing!), that I wanted to try out something new like the ED theme song Long Kiss Goodbye by HALCALI (Download it here). I'm still not sure if it was a wise choice, since Long Kiss Goodbye is more a rap song than a traditional song with melody. So it might sound weird to some of you! Anyway, tell me what you think about it, I'd really appreciate it! If you like it, you can download my piano version here.

Me playing Prototype on the Piano

Elfen Lied LucyHi everyone!
It's time for another piano cover. I've been raving on and on about the new Chiaki Ishikawa song for Gundam 00 lately (Prototype: Download full ED single here), so I decided to try doing it on the piano. It's been the most difficult song I've done yet. It usually takes me a couple of hours to cover a song, but for this one it took me about two days to do it right. So of course there's a couple of mistakes here and there, but I hope you'll like it anyway! You can download the mp3 of my piano version here. Give me some comments...

My ballad version of Synchronicity

Last week I posted my piano version of Synchronicity (here), the song from the Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations OAV sung by Yui Makino and composed by Yuki Kajiura. After I did that version, I was asked to do a slower ballad version of the song on the piano. So here it is, I hope you'll enjoy it. Tell me what you think about it in the comment section. You can also download the mp3 version here.

Me playing Ebullient Future on the piano

I don't know why, but I felt really inspired this week, so that's the reason why I'm posting a second piano cover. It's the amazing OP from ef - a tale of melodies, Ebullient Future by ELISA. When I reviewed it, I instantly fell in love with it,(here) so of course I had to do my own version of it. I hope you guys like it. Please write some comments!

You can download my mp3 version here, and the original version here.

Me playing Synchronicity on the piano

I don't know why but the previous post where I posted this video just disappeared today! I hope this doesn't happen to any other posts. Please tell me if you see a post suddenly disappear.
Anyway, here it is again: My piano cover of Synchronicity, the opening theme song for the Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations OAV with music by goddess Yuki Kajiura. I hope you still like it. You can download my version of the song here.

To listen to the original Synchronicity, it's after the cut...

A mp3 version of my piano covers!

Some people have requested an mp3 version of my youtube piano covers. It's always nice to have a few fans, so here are the mp3 versions of my piano covers. The sound quality however is the same as in the youtube videos, so it doesn't sound professional at all. I'm really sorry for that, but I'll be recording these songs again with a real mic this time instead of just my webcam. So I'll keep you all posted!
