Gundam 00 S2 Insert Song Album - Unlimited Sky by Tommy Heavenly6

Unlimited Sky is an Insert Song featured in episode 18 of the Gundam 00 2nd Season anime. It is sung by Tommy Heavenly6, one of Tomoko Kawase's many pseudonyms. Tommy Heavenly6 also did the Soul Eater OP2 (my review here) and the Gintama OP1. Tomoko Kawase is also the singer and vocalist of musical group the brilliant green (They did the awesome Gundam 00 OP2, Ash like Snow). As a solo artist, she has released music under the alter-ego pseudonyms Tommy february6 and Tommy heavenly6. This Gundam 00 S2 Insert Song Album is actually the first Tommy heavenly6 compilation, entitled "Gothic Melting Ice Cream's Darkness Nightmare" and it contains songs from the first and second Tommy heavenly6 album.

Tracklist:

7/10 Unlimited Sky is a really nice rock song. I just love Tomoko Kawase's voice. It perfectly suits the touching melody of the track. It almost starts off as a slow ballad but then becomes this heavy, guitar-driven song with a really nice beat. Keep up the good work Tomoko! This compilation is also full of other great songs such as this one...

Lyrics (English):

Flowers sway in the wind as if dancing
So that the rain moistens the earth
Even though this world is alive, coming closer together
Why do people hurt each other?
Why do partings come about?

Even if you go far away
You're still always right in the middle of my heart
While they remain completely buried by that kind smile
Even if I feel pain
In fragments of you that I held, because we're still connected
I believe that we can meet again
I'm waiting for your love

I love you, I trust you
I want you to share your loneliness with me
I love you, I trust you
Even in light, even in darkness
Because we're together, we're able to believe in each other
Please don't leave anymore

Who saw the end of the world?
Who announces the end of the journey?
Even though it's a long night and the answer can't be seen now,
I want you to move on on the road you believe in
Because from this point forth, the light is waiting for you

Even now, the song you taught me
Still remains within my heart
And echos along with that friendly voice
The overflowing tears of my feeling
Run over my warm cheek
Become strong, ne
Believe!
If we connect with each other
I'm always by your side

I love you, I trust you
The tears I shed are for your sake
I love you, I trust you
You taught me love
I love you, I trust you
No matter if you walk on the wrong path,
I'll be beside you!

Waiting for your love
Always by your side
Youre the one that I love
Youre the one that I trust
Youre the only one

I love you, I trust you
I want you to share your loneliness with me
I love you, I trust you
Even in light, even in darkness
I love you, I trust you
Even in sadness, even in happiness
I love you, I trust you
I want to protect you completely

No matter if you're walking on the wrong path
I'll be beside you!
Because we're together, we're able to believe in each other
Please don't leave anymore

Gundam 00 S2 Insert Single - Tomorrow by Ayumi Tsunematsu (Marina Ismail)

Thank God! I finally get to hear the Single for the Gundam 00 S2 insert song "Tomorrow" by Ayumi Tsunematsu (who does Marina Ismail) after weeks of waiting in anguish! We first got to hear the song in episode 14 of the second season. I reviewed the song here and did a piano cover of the song here. Somebody even ripped my piano video from youtube and uploaded it as his own back on youtube without even mentioning me (grrr...). At least it proves that it's quite popular!

Tracklist:

1. Tomorrow - Full version
2. Tomorrow - Full Ep 14 version (Ayumi and children)
3. Tomorrow - Piano version
4. Tomorrow - Strings version
5. Tomorrow - Full version without vocals
6. Tomorrow - Full Ep 14 version without vocals

9/10 At last, we get to hear Ayumi Tsunematsu's voice, which was covered by all the children during the episode. The first track which is the full version with just Ayumi's voice is my favorite version! It's more like an orchestral version as well, and it's much better than the organ version in the series. Kenji Kawai's talent truly shines throughout this version and we really get a better sense of the melody as well. I also enjoyed listening to the the piano and strings version. I don't really understand why they would use the least beautiful version in the series...

Check out the long version here:

Gundam 00 S2 ED2 Full Song - Trust You by Yuna Ito

The full version of the Gundam 00 S2 ED2 song by Yuna Ito is finally available. I reviewed the short version some weeks ago (here), and of course, the full version is even better! It's a truly beautiful ballad!

Here's the PV for Trust You by the beautiful Yuna Ito:

Gundam 00 S2 ED2 - Trust You by Yuna Ito

There's a new Gundam 00 ED in town! After Prototype (watch my cover) and Tomorrow from episode 14 (watch my cover), it's time to make place for Trust You by the stunningly beautiful Yuna Ito (of Nana fame).

7.5/10 I really like the new Gundam 00 ED! Yuna's voice is as breathtaking as she is... I loved her song from the Nana movie (Endless Story), and this one is awesome as well. Great pop song! I can't wait to listen to the full version...

Watch the new ED here:

My Last Piano Covers in High Quality!

I just noticed that my last 2 piano videos could also be seen in high quality and with much better sound by adding "&fmt=18" to the url. Stupid Youtube didn't automatically put the "Watch in high quality" option under my videos. I don't understand why! Some videos have it automatically, without having to hack the url... It must have to do with the format of the videos I uploaded I gues...

So here are my last 2 piano covers, this time with much better sound, check them out:

My Piano Cover of Tomorrow by Marina Ismail (Gundam 00 Insert Song)

Last week, I was asked to do a piano cover of the insert song/ED Tomorrow sung by Marina Ismail in episode 14 of Gundam 00 S2(I know someone requested it but I don't remember who...). Well, here it is... I hope you guys like it...

You can download the mp3 version of my cover here.

Gundam 00 S2 Insert Song - Tomorrow by Marina Ismail

Episode 14 of Gundam 00 S2 featured a new insert song, which was also used as the ending theme song. It was sung by the Marina Ismail character (Ayumi Tsunematsu) and some random poor desert children. The song is called Tomorrow. A lot of people have been talking about this song, and how it feels like Ranka Lee in Macross Frontier. Some really disliked the song (like here...) while others love it (here). As for myself, I'm ashamed to say, I didn't really like the song at first. Maybe because of the whole awkward and cheesy sequence. It didn't feel at all like Gundam 00 to me! I didn't think they would stoop so low, and use a song as a plot device for that episode, making everyone hear it, and preventing Setsuna from killing Ali. Does that song really have magical powers like Aimo Aimo from Macross Frontier? And how did Marina find an organ in the desert? LOL Did I mention by the way, that I really hated Marina's character? She's so full of herself, and really needs to toughen up a bit!
You can download a high quality rip of the song here.

8/10 After listening to "Tomorrow" a couple of times out of its original context, I couldn't help but like it. Maybe because I'm a sucker for anything Kenji Kawai composes. It's a rather simple song with just an organ and children's voices along with Marina Ismail's voice of course. But the melody is still really nice, and I wonder if there will be a longer version with more than just an organ?? It also reminds me of the song Nahji no Uta from the anime Seirei no Moribito, also by Kenji Kawai.

Here's Tomorrow by Marina Ismail, as it appears in episode 14 of Gundam 00 S2:

And here's the similar song, the wonderful Nahji no Uta from Seirei no Moribito:

Gundam 00 S2 OP2 Full Song - Namida no Mukou by Stereopony

I just found out that the new Gundam 00 Season 2 opening theme song is Namida no Mukou by Stereopony (thank you MrB for the info!). As some of you might remember, Stereopony just did the ED17 song for Bleach, Hitohira no Hanabira. Quite a busy group!! Download the full song (256kps MP3) here.

7/10 I prefer Namida no Mukou than the song they did for Bleach. This song has a nice rythm with a catchy chorus. It kind of reminds me of a poor man's High and Mighty Color, one of my favorite J-Rock groups!

My ballad version of Prototype - Gundam 00 S2 ED

2 weeks ago I did a piano cover of the awesome Gundam 00 Season 2 ED song, Prototype by Chiaki Ishikawa. I like playing the song so much that I also did a ballad version of it. Tell me what you think about it! Here's the download link for the mp3 of my ballad version.

Me playing Prototype on the Piano

Hi everyone!
It's time for another piano cover. I've been raving on and on about the new Chiaki Ishikawa song for Gundam 00 lately (Prototype: Download full ED single here), so I decided to try doing it on the piano. It's been the most difficult song I've done yet. It usually takes me a couple of hours to cover a song, but for this one it took me about two days to do it right. So of course there's a couple of mistakes here and there, but I hope you'll like it anyway! You can download the mp3 of my piano version here. Give me some comments...

I talked about this song a while ago (here). Chiaki Ishikawa is one my favorite J-Pop artists, since I first heard her songs with See-Saw!

8.5/10 Watch the PV for Prototype by Chiaki Ishikawa:

New Gundam 00 season 2 ED - Chiaki Ishikawa

Here is the new Ending for the second season of Gundam 00. It's a song by Chiaki Ishikawa called Prototype. It's a nice song, but not quite as nice as what I usually expect from Chiaki Ishikawa, but I'm sure it will grow on me. Chiaki Ishikawa is one of my favorite anime singers, and she is a part of the awesome duo See-Saw, with no other than Yuki Kajiura. (My personal Goddess!!)
I also added some other anime OP and ED songs that Chiaki performed solo.

8.5/10 Gundam 00 season 2 ED (download full song here):

9/10 My favorite Chiaki Ishikawa song, the OP for Simou: Utsukushikereba sore de ii

9/10 The OP for Bokurano (Really good anime series!)was also a great song: Uninstall. Check it out!

9/10 Chiaki Ishikawa also did the second ED for Bokurano: Vermillion

UVERworld Overload - New Gundam 00 Season 2 OP

The first episode has finally aired! I can't wait to watch it! The OST for the first season was also really good.

7.5/10 So here's the new OP by UVERworld, it's called: Hakanaku Mo Towa No Kanashi

I think it's not too bad, and I'll probably enjoy it after listening to it a couple of times. Download the full mp3 of the OP: Click here UPDATE: Download full OP single here.

9/10 Speaking of UVERworld, the first song I heard from them was the OP for Bleach, D-tecnolife, which is a really fun song! I still enjoy listening to it. For those of you who forgot it, check it out:

7/10 They also did one for Blood+ which wasn't so bad:
