Bounen no Xamdou OST 1 & 2 - Xam'd: Lost Memories

I haven't posted for such a long time, I'm so sorry. I've had so many other occupations lately, that I didn't have the time nor the will to write anything on my blog... But today, I felt it should be time to write a post to celebrate the arrival of the Xam'd: Lost Memories OST 1 & 2 (Bounen no Xamdou). Since I finished watching the series back in February, I have been desperately waiting for the awesome soundtrack by Michiru Oshima to come out! I also did a cover song on the piano of one of the wonderful songs from the OST.

Today I've been able to listen to the 2 Bounen no Xamdou OSTs thanks to Gameurs who uploaded the OST.

Download the full Bounen no Xamdou OST 1 here!

Download the full Bounen no Xamdou OST 2 here!

Tell me what you think about it! And check out my piano cover and the original song after the jump!

Xam'd: Lost Memories OP2 song - Back on my Feet by Boom Boom Satellites

Boom Boom Satellites
Since Xam'd is finally getting a TV broadcast version, there'll be a new OP theme song, but fear not, it is also by Boom Boom Satellites. Their previous OP for Xam'd entitled "Shut up and explode", was one of my favorite OP songs from the past season (Check out my review here). The new song is called "Back on my Feet" and the single is coming out the first of July.

Download the TV version of "Back on my feet" here.

9/10 By the looks of it, "Back on my feet" is as good or maybe even better than the first Opening song. Can't wait to hear the full version. In any case, even the TV version is nothing short of amazing!! Boom Boom Satellites have a unique sound and style, and this song is a good example of their awesomeness. I can't stop listening to their latest album EXPOSED, which is brilliant. Thank you Erias for making me discover this new Boom Boom Song!

Check out the awesome video sequence for the new OP:

My Piano Cover of the Xam'd Insert Song

Ryvius' ongoroMy latest piano cover is the song I heard in the anime Xam'd: Lost Memories. I wrote a post two days ago about this awesome song here. I still haven't found any news on the Xam'd OST by Michiru Oshima by the way (sigh...). I hope you like my version of this wonderful and sad song... I'm quite proud of it, because it took me just over 1 hour to master it completely. My version is actually longer than the original one, so check it out here...

You can download the mp3 of my version here.

Xam'd Lost Memories - Insert Song

Xamd OngoroOut of all the anime shows I'm currently watching, Xam'd is without a doubt the best one (with Michiko to Hatchin). It's a really beautiful and complex anime that feels like a mix between Eureka Seven and Mononoke Hime. It also features the best soundtrack out of all the shows I'm watching. The composer is none other than Michiru Oshima who did the beautiful soundtracks for shows like Fullmetal Alchemist and Le Chevalier d'Eon. Sadly, there are virtually no news on the Xam'd OST release. The show only has one episode left, so it should normally be out already. I've looked everywhere (including Japanese websites) and haven't found a thing. If you know anything about the Xam'd OST, please tell me...

The song that struck me the most in Xam'd, was the insert song that featured at the end of the first episode when Akiyuki transformed into the Xam'd for the first time. I also heard that song in episode 24 and I'm sure it featured in other episodes as well.

This is the song in episode 24 (I'm sorry about the other noises, it's a rip from the episode...):

You can download it here.

10/10 This insert song really moved me to tears. It has such a sad feel to it. The melody is nothing short of haunting and the orchestral accompaniment is beautifully mastered. The singer's voice, which sounds like a child's voice makes it even sadder and enhances the emotions of the song. I love this song so much, that I've already recorded a piano version of it... So stay tuned...

Check out the short clip of the song in episode 1:

Xam'd: Lost Memories ED single - Vacancy by Kylee

Xam'd: Lost Memories ED single - Vacancy by KyleeI wrote a post a while back about the wonderful Xam'd OP song Shut up and explode by BOOM BOOM SATELLITES. Yesterday, someone requested the ED theme song Vacancy by Kylee, so I guess it's the right time for me to write a review for that song. Download the full ED single here. UPDATE: It's the right link now!

Tracklist:

01. VACANCY
02. Justice
03. Plan B

7.5/10 So how is this Kylee? Is she the poor man's Kylie? Well, the answer is definitely no! She's more a J-Rock kind of girl, with a beautiful voice. The song is kind of sad but it has this great energy. I really enjoy it. I also love the spoken words at the end, "bear with me". It feels so intense!

My favorites OPs - Xam'd: Lost Memories

Xam'd Lost MemoriesIt's time to start a new category for this blog. I will now have blogposts about my favorite anime music tracks. So let's begin with anime opening songs.
This first OP, is actually the most recent OP that I love. It's from the great anime Xam'd: Lost Memories, an ongoing supernatural show that I really advise people to watch.

10/10 The Xam'd OP is called Shut up and explode by BOOM BOOM SATELLITES. BOOM BOOM SATELLITES are a Japanese electronic music duo, and this song is part of their sixth album. It's an energy-filled song that uses a lot of electric guitars, with an uptempo beat and has a nice rock feel to it. I highly recommend listening to it! Download the full song here and watch the OP:
