Here's my latest piano cover, which has been on youtube for more than a week now! It's the beautiful Nodame Cantabile Paris ED, entitled Tokyo et Paris by Emiri Miyamoto x Solita (check out my review here). It's so weird to be covering a song in my own language!! Anyway, I hope you all like it!!

Lyrics for Nodame Cantabile Paris ED - Tokyo et Paris

It's about time I added some lyrics to this website! For my first lyrics I've chosen the ED to Nodame Cantabile Paris - Tokyo et Paris by Emiri Miyamoto x solita (Review and download here). It also happens to be the only song this season with french lyrics, so I'll honor my mother tongue for a change:

The english translation is after the cut (sorry it's only a rough Google translation, didn't have the courage to do it myself)

Tokyo and Paris
Paris and Tokyo
And still the music
In Paris we will look
In harmony

It will be known since childhood
It was during a piano coast
In front of the large market
We played square neighborhood
At hopscotch and ball prisoner
Then it was the taste

It was well our best years
Concern that could affect
Tokyo and Paris
Paris and Tokyo
And still the music
Tokyo and Paris
Paris and Tokyo
And always the music,
In Paris, we look
Together

It has always loved
Full of apprehension before our hearings
At dusk
Private concerts every summer
In the great room with huge windows
One was delighted
It was well our best years
Concern that could affect

Tokyo and Paris
Paris and Tokyo
And still the music
Tokyo and Paris
Paris and Tokyo
And always music, music, music,
In Paris we will look
In harmony .......

Nodame Cantabile Paris - Full ED song

I recently reviewed the opening and ending themes for the new Nodame Cantabile season (here). The ED is called Tokyo et Paris, by Emiri Miyamoto x solita. I gave the ED a 5.5/10, and I have to say that even the full song didn't convince me. I really like the singer's voice and the violin, but I'm just not into the melody. And the fact that she singing in french doesn't really help either (I know! I shouldn't be saying that, considering it's my native language!). Download a full high quality version of the song here. UPDATE: Download the full ED single here.

New Series OP and ED - Nodame Cantabile Paris

Nodame Cantabile Paris is the sequel to the insanely popular anime Nodame Cantabile. I only watched the first few episodes of the first season and then got bored. I'm not really into those slice of life shows I guess. Well anyway, living in Paris, it's funny to see there's a japanese anime set in my town. I hadn't seen that since Noir!

6.5/10 The opening song is called Sky High and is sung by The Gospellers. It's a rather pleasant song, with nice string arrangements! It also has an old feel to it, like a song from the 50s or 60s (or maybe it's just me!). Download the full song here.

Watch the PV for the OP Sky High:

5.5/10 The Ending Theme for Nodame Cantabile Paris is conveniently entitled Tokyo and Paris and is performed by Emiri Miyamoto x solita. I really like the violin part in the song. The singer also has a really nice sweet voice. And I really like that it's sung in a perfect french! But there's still something wrong with this song. I can't tell if it's the weird beat that seems out of place or the melody that doesn't quite go along with the violin part. Anyhow, I'm sure it could have been a really nice voice, if it didn't sound so off.
