Pininfarina Alfa Romeo Sports Car Spider Concept 2010

Pininfarina, a design of Italian cars, has launched the public teaser image of its new concept of Alfa Romeo. Pininfarina turns 80 this year. As part of the celebration of this important milestone in the company will unveil this concept two-seater spider in the photo here at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March. It is presented as a tribute to his long relationship with Alfa Romeo. The inauguration coincides with the anniversary of Alfa 100 so it is doubly appropriate. The design has been run by Lowie Vermeersch, head of the Pininfarina style hub, and reflects back the old model of Alfa Romeo Duetto, with its inspired sepia bones.

A revival of the Alfa Duetto is an interesting proposal, and the prototype is the same Spider two-seater vehicle. Have a longitudinal engine placed in the front and rear. No production schedule has been established so far, so we can not say whether this could be a possible replacement for the current Alfa Spider.

Apart from the obvious is not much to be said or revealed about the car. But from this scheme of insulation that can be noted that the current competition 8C Spider has a serious style. The long sloping hood, two-door configuration and short rear overhangs are the main signs of a classic roadster. If this traditional approach will remain intact with a soft retractable roof remains to beseen.

Perhaps the relationship Pininfarina Alfa Romeo is about to receive a new life. Hopefully the concept is as good or even better than this scheme suggests
